President Hashim Thaci says Kosovo does not have to fear talks with Serbia. But Thaci warns serious and difficult talks, writes Periscopi.
A tragic era over a century would end in reports between two states and our peoples. Kosovo has nothing to fear from its dialogue or epilogue. As Kosovo's society and policy, we have had courage, knowledge, proper organisation, reconciliation between us on the Rambouillet Conference, the Vienna process, that through negotiations and the fair fight for Kosovo's release, we will enable the establishment of the state of Kosovo”, Thaci said at the press conference, writes Periscopi.
But after saying there is no reason to fear the talks, Thaci warned serious and difficult talks with Serbia.
The “E knows we are expecting serious, difficult talks because we now intend to complete this process with agreement with Serbia. Reaching the comprehensive agreement with Serbia is necessary to become a UN state, accelerating Kosovo into the EU and NATO”, he has said.
Otherwise, Kosovo President Hashim Thaci and Serbia's Aleksandar Vuciq will meet on 24 June in Brussels, within dialogue at the top political level, mediated by the European Union.
Thaci has confirmed his participation in this meeting.
My “Kabinet has been in constant contact with Federica Moghrini's cabinet, and we have also accepted the invitation by Mrs. Moghrin to continue dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia to see the possibilities of implementing all the agreements reached so far, but also to intensify the new process of dialogue, the final one, of the final achievement of the state of Kosovo and Serbia”, Thaci has indicated.
The meeting, to be facilitated by EU High Representative Federica Moghrini, will focus on the discussion on agreements reached so far, their challenges and implementation, as well as further steps towards normalising relations./Periscopi/
