Thaci: Month of Ramadan, month of human nobility

President Hashim Thaci and Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj have tonight extended Iftar to Kosovo's leaders and leaders of the Islamic Community.

President Thaci has said the month of Ramadan is a trial for devout believers, and fasting increases solidarity and care for each other.

President Thaci's full speech to the iftar laid down tonight for the leaders and leaders of the Kosovo Islamic Community:

Expressing the satisfaction of being among you, please allow me to wish you today's fast.

The month of Ramadan for every year is a trial for the devout, who willingly abstain from water and food, devoting themselves to God.

During this month, physical and spiritual peace prevails, the harmony between the mind and the heart grows.

Peace over conflict reigns this month.

Good over evil.

Fasting is the moment of increasing solidarity within the family of believers.

Increasing attention to people with poor material condition.

The memory of solidification with the weak.

Thus, the month of Ramadan is the month of human nobility, the strengthening of love and the circulation of mercy.

We are fortunate to live in a society of outstanding religious, cultural, and ethnic tolerance.

Religious beliefs for us are riches.

Respecting one another's religious traditions and rituals made our lives richer.

A special credit for this positive climate has you honoured leaders and leaders of the Islamic Community of Kosovo.

Kosovo has been and will be home to religious beliefs that exclude the spirit of any kind of extremism.
