President Hashim Thaci and his Serbian counterpart, Aleksandar Vuciq, will meet in Brussels on Sunday, with whom the final phase of dialogue is expected to begin. However, two days before the first meeting of the state of Kosovo has not disclosed which topics will be discussed at the European helm.
On the other hand, dialogue monitors say that the launch of this phase without a broad political consensus could bring the scenario of demarcation back to the country.
Although after two days (on Sunday) the final phase of dialogue with Serbia is expected to begin, Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has not made public the topics to be discussed at this stage, although he will represent Kosovo in this process.
Dialogue monitors consider that Thaci's move to unilateral Brussels, without a broad political consensus being reached, could restore Kosovo's demarcation scenario.
According to them, if this phase ends just as it is starting, without a broad agreement, the final Kosovo agreement -- Serbia -- which requires 80 votes to be approved in the Assembly -- could take several years to approve, as had happened with Demarketing with Montenegro.
Speaking of this process, former Kosovo Party chief negotiator Edita Tahiri has told “Zerin” that achieving a broad political consensus is vital for the closing phase of negotiations with Serbia.
