Kosovo Telecom's investments in the mobile phone market have declined during the first quarter of this year.
According to the Electronic and Post Communications Regulatory Authority (ARKEP), which does periodic analysis of this market, public company revenues during the first quarter of this year have scored 2 percentage points, Koha Ditore writes today.
According to data, Telekom operator Vala had 53 percent of all investments in the mobile market in this quarter, while by the end of 2017 there were 55 percent. Meanwhile, unlike Telekom, the second operator, Ipko, has increased by two percentage points and now has 39 percent of the market.
The trend of declining public company revenues is as a result of the heavy financial situation in which it is found. Currently, Kosovo Telecom's debts total 60m euros. Part of this debt is 26m euros to operator “Z-mobile”, following the arbitrage decision. Only the first four months of this year, according to the company's Board, Telekom has scored 4m euros in losses.
