Serbs have ridiculous demand for opening bridge in Mitrovica

The Kosovo Government's representative for dialogue with Serbia, Avni Arifi, has declared that works on the main bridge over the Iber River in Mitrovica have ended and there is no reason not to open. And that, according to Arifi, will happen when Kosovo political institutions are established.

He has said Serbs have a ridiculous request regarding the opening of the bridge.

There is no reason why all the work has been done so as not to leave the bridge, it can be freely released, it is a matter of political decision. They [Serbs] have a request related to Suhadol, since it is on a map of the CEC, that the CEC reality be transferred to practical municipal reality as well. Arifi has added that whenever the dialogue with Serbia resumes, this is the topic to be discussed.

Otherwise, today four years ago, barricades were removed on the bridge in Mitrovica. Then there was a park and a wall that were later removed. As the EU funds began, renovation works have been completed.
