The long-term establishment of peace is the interest of Kosovo Serbs, says Serbian List official and also Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Communities and Return in the resignation of the Kosovo Government, Dalibor Yevtic.

Speaking of the Association of Serbian municipalities, he says Serbs do not want it to be based on Kosovo's current laws.

“Ekip presiding for AKS meets with all those who have competencies about the issue of association. This technical process will not be slow. I expect the AKS's legal framework to be in Brussels' next talks. The framework is important, as we do not want something that is in Kosovo's current laws. If we wanted, no one had to go to Brussels to talk about it. We want something new, something more, we want to have the chance that, in the vital sense of Serbs being better organised”, Yevtic said, Time.net broadcasts.

Regarding the drafting of the AKS statute, he said he was running a good course.

Yevtic from the upcoming meetings expects the realisation of Brussels' agreements, largely what it has to do with the formation of the Serbian Communist Association.

The fact that we are many years ago we have had many problems, peace settlement is the interest of Serbs not only here, but wherever Serbs live in Kosovo”, Jevtic quoted Jevtic as saying.

Media from Belgrade say the deadline for the Serbian Communist Association Act project to be presented in Brussels is August 4th.
