Scary increase in fatal accidents this year

Based on police data, the number of fatal accidents in Kosovo has marked growth. This is confirmed by Chief of Information Office in the Kosovo Police, Bucky Kelan, who told public television that in the first quarter of this year, the number of fatal accidents has increased to 7.41 for [...]
Order authorities say that if the same period of last year is compared, there is an increase in the number of people dead as a result of traffic accidents. For this reason, the surveyed citizens blame drivers who, they say, are not respecting signs of communication. Another concern of citizens also remains a lack of communications signs in the city and regional roads.
The majority that are first getting their permits do not know the rules, and the normal risk is on you, and others are in danger. Signs are missing, roads are poorly constructed. It's a big question to answer. Even the community is at fault, both citizens and all. I don't know who to blame. It takes another generation to fix things up a little bit: x1> said a citizen.
Meanwhile, Kosovo Police Information Office chief Baki Kelani told public television that the number of fatal accidents has marked growth this year. However, according to Kelan, the total number of accidents has marked a decline.
From January to April of this year it is an increase in accidents with fatal consequences, some 7.41 percent. However, it is good luck that total accidents, including material and injured accidents, have seen a decline in 12. 37 percent. Disturbing remains accidents with fatal consequences” Baki Kelani said.
Kelan has acknowledged that the lack of signals in particular close to the circle is obvious. He has announced that Kosovo Police, the Road Communications Division, last year, respectively, had drafted 103 reports with which it issued recommendations on shortcomings in communications, where they were later addressed to competent ministries and municipalities.
We've given these recommendations and it's true that there's a shortage on some of the regional, urban and magical roads. There's a lack of signaling. However, we have given our recommendations so that signs can be placed and damaged marks changed. This is under the domain, both for regional, ministry, but on local roads within municipal territories are relevant municipalities” said Kelani.
The Director of the Co-ordination Council for Road Safety, near the Ministry of Infrastructure, Feyzullah Mustafa, argued that in terms of security in traffic the situation is alarming. He said they are working towards awareness of citizens, as well as their best information on traffic regulations.
We're still in an alarming situation. The Ministry of Infrastructure is in co-ordination with all dictatorships that deal with the section of road safety and we're in the range of organizing roundtables. We are on the verge of organising leafposts across the border points so that all citizens who enter the territory of the Republic of Kosovo on speed limit, on new legislation” have said Fyzullah Mustafa.
Otherwise, Kosovo police are doing their best to achieve greater security in traffic, Kelani says. In this case, the number of police officials in traffic has increased, the motorcycle units have increased, punitive measures have been taken against offenders, where in 24 hours about 2 thousand fines are pronounced. However, according to the police's statement, the main cause of accidents is: unsafe manipulation by drivers, failure to keep the right distance in traffic, as well as inadverting and overcoming speed. Kosovo police appeal to all drivers to observe the Law's provisions on Road Traffic, respect road traffic signs as well as to take increased care of traffic.
