The renowned analyst: Hashim Thaci is stepping down from 2008 Declaration of Independence

Analyst Petit Zogaj, through a publication on the social network “Facebook” has reacted to today's statement by Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, who warned that in the final phase of dialogue with Serbia there will be no red lines, Periscope reports. Zogaj has mentioned some of the main issues that he considers to be [...]
Zogaj has cited some of the key issues, which according to him should be topics of discussions that are taking place in Brussels between Kosovo and Serbia, and for which there should be red lines, from Thaci, who is representing Kosovo at this stage of dialogue.
According to him, at today's conference, Thaci withdrew from the Declaration of Kosovo's Declaration of Independence in 2008.

“If there are no red lines in relation to the Kosovo Constitution, if there are no red lines for the crimes of the Serbian state in Kosovo, if there are no red lines for the recent war damage, and if there are no red lines for missing persons, it seems even the proclamation of Independence is not red line. And at this conference, Hashim Thaci personally withdraws from the February 2008 statement”, Zogaj writes on Facebook.
On the other hand, he says that the turn now belongs to political parties to declare whether they agree with it or not.
Now what remains is the statement of political parties whether they agree with it or not. After all, Thaci is in his right to withdraw from the proclamation of Independence, but only personally, not as a representative of Kosovo citizens”, Zogaj concludes.
On the other hand, Kosovo's president at a conference with journalists who held him today, where he was reporting on the final phase of dialogue with Serbia, said there will be no red lines for anything at this stage of dialogue.
He said the peace agreement with Serbia would enable Kosovo EU, NATO and UN membership. While he said that if Kosovo does not seize this opportunity for peace, it risks ending up as Palestine of Northern Cyprus./Periscopi
