Northern Serbs stop Gazivoda water for Albanians

It has been three days since the irrigation water, which flows from Gazivoda Lake to Leposavic to the municipality of Mitrovica, Vushtrria and Pristina, has been cut off by northern Serbs, leaving farmers without water at the time they most need. Iber Lepenci's director for the Mitrovica region, Haki Jonuzi, has confirmed [...]
Iber Lepenc's director for the Mitrovica region, Haki Jonuzi, has confirmed that water has been cut off at the supply point, while told that Serbs have stopped it.
He has said that they have informed the competent organs of this, while nothing has been undertaken.
“Directory and Government should intervene in this case, we have immediately warned”, he said.
While he allegedly is responsible for the southern water supply point of the south has locked the mechanism that releases water and fled to Belgrade.
The directorate in Pristina has given us answers that have talked with Serbian officials, but they release water wherever they want to and stop it whenever they want. Also reportedly, the Serbian official is located in Belgrade and has locked the water's launch area”, he has said.
Iber Lepenc's first for the Mitrovica region has said that such problems have been faced last year, as it is also causing drinking water problems.
We've had similar problems last year, there's not after enough water, especially Komorani and Shqabaj there isn't enough. Pristina's water supply yesterday is therefore under water shortages and needs to be banned from irrigation in order to have enough water for drink”, it has been completed.
Even the potato grower in the village of Doberllug in the municipality of Vushtrri, Shukri Xhaferi, has said it is the fourth day that has water problems, while even in this municipality it has been told that Serbs are responsible.
It's the fourth day that we don't have water for irrigation agricultural land, we've been constantly contacted by the director of Iber Lepenci in Vushtrri, while he told us that water should be cut down strictly. According to them, the reason for water stopping is the Serbs, who have stopped at Gazivoda Lake, he has said.
Xhaferi has also added that if water does not issue or rain during this week the entire agricultural area will be destroyed.
If it doesn't rain this week, the entire agricultural land will be damaged, and the crops will cover thousands of acres. Agriculture is the only form from which we receive revenue, Xhaferi/GazetaFokus said.
