But the audience had concluded that the car had never arrived in Kosovo, and for this occasion three people were charged:
Ahmet Alishan, former security adviser to Parliament Speaker Shefka Shasivari, director of the company “Trade For Aid International”, and Yusuf Nikci, former director of the Kosovo Assembly Budget.
In 2010, then the District Court in Pristina, Shasivar was sentenced to 1 year in prison on bail, Alishan to two years in prison on bail, and Nikchin to 3 months in prison on parole.
Nikci's sentence had been annulled by the Court of Appeals in 2014, since the work for which he was convicted had reached the prescription in 2011. And now Nikci is aiming to return to his old position.
The Pristina Foundation Court, the Department for Administrative Affairs, has approved its application and has forced Kosovo's Assembly to return to the same job, as long as for pay compensation, it has been instructed in conflicted procedure. According to the trial, Nikci proved that he had not misused his official duty.
Pristina's Constitutional Court ruling has not yet reached the Kosovo Assembly, to which there is a possibility of complaint at the Court of Appeals.
