Nice day to give up everything you knew about Mars, writes Christine Houser, calling Periscope.
Yesterday, Nasa published the results of two major studies on the Red Planet. In the first, researchers discovered why Mars has seasonal Methane variations; in the second, they showed that there were molecules on Mars ' surface that could make up evidence of ancient life. Both were published yesterday in Science. Science.
Both studies are “bracthw” in astrobiology.
The first study is the methane, a simple organic molecule that forms the basis for natural gas. Biological sources produce most of the methane on earth, so researchers suspect that the Metane on Mars may indicate that there have been biotyped resources - life as well as Mars. /Periscopi
