Dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina is moving in a difficult but encouraging direction, EU High Representative Federica Mogerini said today, on the eve of the EU diplomatic chiefs' meeting in Luxembourg.
“Day, we have had a very good summit of high-level dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, which is taking place in a very difficult but encouraging way,”, Moghrini said.
Otherwise, Republic of Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, after meeting with Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, has said it has been a difficult meeting but with positive tones to look to the future for the two countries' interest.
As President Thaci has said, during the meeting it has agreed that the process will receive a dynamic and intensify in the coming weeks.
We have also come to a conclusion that reaching the final agreement is in the interest of peace and stability in the region. So reaching a winning agreement for both sides and this solution is the European standards and criteria agreement, both for Kosovo and for Serbia, a European resolution for both Kosovo and Serbia”.
He has added that it has been discussed about how to achieve a comprehensive framework of this agreement, which will be acceptable to the people of Kosovo and Serbia, and people will look to the European future and not to the conflicting past.
