Mitrovica municipality inspectors physically attacked

“At the meeting the members of the Board of Directors unanimously condemned the attack on municipal inspectors that had occurred on Saturday 23,06.2018, when they were carrying out their duty to get rid of the sidewalks and other forbidden spaces by irresponsible retailers”, the report said.

Also at the Board's meeting, initially Youth Culture and Sports Director Tafil Peci announced the members of the held cultural events during the past week, such as the Albanian Community Traditional Festival, the Association of Figure Art Painters, the exhibition of Bosnian painters from Rozaje, etc., praising them as successful.

Next, Directorate for Finance Director Shukri Gashi asked the directors to fulfill their obligation to hand over budgetary plans as soon as possible. He requested that some dilemmas be clarified concerning the payment of civil servants for participants in various commissions, stressing that it is regulation of the Ministry of Finance that does not allow payment this way.

Everyone agreed that this matter should be discussed with the mayor and should consult the legal office and other relevant services.

Board members also discussed several other important issues from the scope of directors and other institutions managed by the municipality.
