On 16 January this year, before the party headquarters leading the party, Serbian politician Oliver Ivanov was killed. Five months from this act, the prosecution still has no suspects. But Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri is expressing optimism that this case will be cleared up, with intensive work by police and Prosecution.
Minister Tahiri in a statement on news.net has said the information Serbia has sent for this case has not been very important.
Against the Serbian state's indictment of Kosovo, Tahiri said there has been no reluctance that Serbia should hand over the necessary information.
Such charges are false. The leading role in this process is police and prosecutors. And in terms of regional co-operation, we have no hesitation conveying all requests to the Serbian prosecution and Serbian authorities through the justice ministry. The information they brought in was unrealistic, and we, although it's been nearly five months, still couldn't bring people to justice. Our institutions are dealing with the case in question, and I am convinced that we will have results in this investigation, and persons to be brought to justice”, the minister Tahiri said initially.
Consequence Tahiri left open the possibility that Kosovo again co-operates with Serbia in the dawning of this case.
The justice minister voiced confidence that in the near future, the killers will be identified.
He also warned that the killers might also be in Serbia.
Whatever we see reasonable that we may need, we will not hesitate to ask the Serbian state. The prosecution and police are working with extraordinary intensity on the case in question, and I am convinced that we will manage to identify because the killers may not be in Kosovo, but at least we identify suspects who have done it”, the minister said.
It was Serbian journalist, who was dealing with the investigation into Ivanovic's assassination, who disappeared for several days in Serbia.
He was found yesterday in good health. Neither did Serbs hesitate to hunt the blame in Kosovo.
Serbian President Vuciq said the Serbian journalist had received some phone calls.
The State Prosecutor had sometimes indicated that there are no suspects in the case so far.
