Merkel sends German border forces to Bulgaria

German Chancellor Angela Merkel plans to send German police to Bulgaria to strengthen the European Union's external borders.
Merkel also seeks strong measures against people who abuse free movement in the Schengen area, ATTH writes.
In 2017 dozens of asylum seekers turned out to have moved to other EU countries.
“With strict procedures, we can significantly reduce visa abuses, and with that the number of asylum seekers in Germany”, said Merkel plans to implement these measures in late August.
“We must also be prepared to help with support Slovenia and Croatia control the borders if it will be necessary”, the Chancellor added.
