KKUK has already confirmed the second case for this year of malaria sufferers. During this year another patient has been touched who was also released home after treatment at KKUK.
Hamdi Ramadani, director of the Infectious Clinic, has said that following tests during yesterday, malaria was confirmed to a patient from Gjakova.
Ramadani has shown that the patient, about 20 years old, has been visiting Nigeria, this country in a wandering state from malaria.
The patient has been lying in the Infectious Clinic by the beginning of this month. He's been in severe condition, with fever and fatigue, and after consisting of malaria, the patient has been treated with the right therapy and is now in better condition of”, Ramadani has declared for Express.
He added that the patient is expected to be released at the end of the week if his condition continues to improve at this rate.
In Kosovo malaria cases were presented in 1999 after the war ended, and in 2010 some people were affected where one of them had found death.
