Macedonian Name Protests Begin

Overwrites “Zaev traitor”, the flag with the Kutlesh sun and patriotic songs are the ones that were seen heard on the streets of Skopje prior to the Assembly protesting.

That is how the atmosphere before the Skopje Assembly is where a small group of citizens block the road flow all day long.

They demand Zaev resign, or at least, not sign the agreement with Greece. They estimate it is a provision for Macedonia, even though some admit they have not read the agreement.

The agreement means the removal of the Macedonian people, something that has started much earlier since 1912, and is now being defined. That's what you're going to say”, Elizabeth Matevska, activist, said.

Protesters say they'll block the road as far as they can. They try to have at least 21 people at all times, as this is the legal minimum for blocking roads. Small echo they blame the media.

“24 hours per day since the agreement to be signed is primarily unconstitutional, unlegal, it is treason and capitulation, said Ana Bobikova-Mijakovska, chairman of the Association of Citizens

For tomorrow, the fan group “Komiti” warned protests in front of the Parliament.
