Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Fatmir Limaj has said that granting 53 million to the consortium “Bechtel & Enka” is due to mismanagement.
Social Democrat Initiative Chairman in an interview with journalist Muhamet Hajrullahu has said it should be shown to the end what happened to the contract.
This is a bad management situation. This damage is not of this government for the fact that we are looking for the demands and needs of the last government means that something happened on the way. After assuming Prime Minister Lekaj's office, it has been noted that there has been the government past in disrespecting several contractual terms”, Limaj has said.
According to him, what has happened to 53m euros should be shown to the end.
“will need even more so that this issue is informed and opinion can be shown to the end what has happened to those 53 million. But, overall, the ultimate reason is mismanagement”, Limaj added.
Minister of Infrastructure, Paul Lekaj, at a media conference, has said that Kosovo could survive this, but according to him, the mismanagement of former Prime Minister Lutfi Zharku has caused Kosovo to lose millions.
He has explained that this has happened because of the extension of the deadline, even this kind of punishment will be paid on VAT, and according to him, Kosovo is saving 5.5m euros a month from this company.
But, former Infrastructure Minister Lutfi Zharku has said that the government of Isa Mustaf under the contract has approved the value of 14.78m euros and every cent paid on this amount is illegal and not contracted.
We remember that the government has approved the requirement for compensation of 53m euros to the consortium “Bechtel & Enka” for extension of the contract.
