The head of the LDK Parliamentary Group, Avdullah Hoti, has said the Government's decision to raise salaries constitutes violations of the laws in power and according to him presents conflict of interest.
Through a Facebook post, Hoti wrote that the government cabinet's salary should be done only by law.
This is Hott's full Facebook post:
Whether to raise salaries should be done by law alone, not by the government's arbitrary decision that constitutes violations of the laws in force and represents conflict of interest.
1. The increase in wages is regulated by the law on public finances, where they are assigned as well as how they increase annually. Any other approach is violation of this law.
2. This decision conflicts with the budget law for 2018. It is only the Kosovo Parliament that has the authority to share the budget for specific destinations. Beyond these divisions, any other aloation is within the limits set on the budget law and the law on public finances.
3. This decision is in conflict with the law to prevent conflict of interest, as the Anti-corruption Agency has determined in its decision, which is called to interpret the law on conflict of interest. One cannot make a decision that affects him and only personally, as well as relatives with him. ”
