Krasniqi: The Assembly has no obligation to hear Thaci report

The dialogue process has been praised as nontransparent by the Kosovo Democratic Institute (KDI). Their position was taken after President Hashim Thaci's statement from the meeting he had with his Serbian counterpart, Aleksandar Vuciq, and senior EU representative Federica Moghrin. KDI has demanded that Thaci report before the Parliament on the content of the dialogue and the further steps of this process.
To that requirement, it is not the former head of the Kosovo Assembly, Jakup Krasniqi, under which this has only been done to make news.
Krasniqi has said the Parliament has not authorised the president to report.
“If consensus had been reached among the parties in the Kosovo Assembly and had authorised the Kosovo Assembly, it would have had to report to the Assembly, but this did not happen, and as a consequence, the Assembly has no obligation to hear the president's report. Therefore, KDI's request is enough to make news!”, he is expressed.
Unlike the meeting they had in Brussels on Sunday, Thaci has said they have agreed with Vuciqi that agreement must be reached between the two sides for the benefit of the countries and for stability in the region.
He has announced that meetings will intensify in the coming weeks. /indysonline/
