In Serbia, they are continuing to promote the partition of Kosovo as a possible solution after the final phase of dialogue between the two countries.
The ministry, senior government officials, and analysts in Serbia are seeing partition as a good solution for the Serbian state after the final phase of dialogue.
Serbian attitudes are being reconciled by official Russia. Russian Ambassador to Belgrade Alexander Cherpurin said the Russian state would accept partitioning Kosovo if they see it as a good solution.
Trade Minister Rasim Lajic stressed days before partitioning Kosovo would be a good solution, but delayed.
If this solution were offered in 1999, I believe it would be a good option for internationals”, Lajjic said.
Aleksandar Vulin was on a line with his colleague.
“I think partition would be the best solution for Kosovo. Such a thing would harm the creation of Greater Albania, which is the biggest risk for the region”, Volin said.
That is also supported by Serbian analysts. They are claiming that by this option Serbia would win.
Dragomir Andjelkovic is saying partitioning Kosovo would be a rational solution.
Perhaps we would gain more if this solution were suggested earlier. Kosovo will never be a state without an agreement with us. In my opinion this is a good solution, but only if partition relates to the issue of Republika Srpska”, the Serbian analyst told Blic newspaper in Serbia.
CESIT programme director and the connoisseur of political themes in Serbia, Bojan Klacar, says a solution to Kosovo's partition would not be real.
It is obvious that we have no concrete solution. I believe that in the end the decision will be Vucih”, he said.
Days ago, the Serbian media reported that partitioning Kosovo is flatly opposing Germany.
According to the Serbian newspaper Danas, such a move would open Pandora's “Quatine” in the Balkans.
