Movement for Union response:
Kosovo unprepared for talks
Kosovo President Hashim Thaci held a meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq on Sunday. Meanwhile, in Kosovo, four times in a row has been held the table of political parties, one of whose goals, has been consistently reaching a consensus for a platform of talks with Serbia. The president continues the negotiation process, while the table continues to produce no results. Even after the last meeting, when the Movement for the Union handed over its platform to all participating parties as the starting point for a necessary national consensus regarding the outcome of open Albanian Serb issues.
To date, Kosovo representatives have held many talks with those of Serbia. They have managed to make agreements on many issues but have failed to make solutions for either. That's for a very simple reason. Unfortunately, Kosovo representatives, never, have considered the talks an opportunity to solve the real problems our country has, but only as the obligation by the international factor and as a means of achieving side goals. That is why Kosovo, although entering the “final stage” of the talks, has not yet managed to have a platform for them. For this guilty situation are all parties that today are represented in the Kosovo Assembly, both in position and opposition.
We continue to insist that without the platform there should be no talks. The Movement for the Union, all political forces, since 2010, has offered its proposal for the platform. Therefore, even in this case, we urge all to take this matter seriously, otherwise, responsibility for the consequences of such talks will be impossible to escape.
