Kosovo's Statistics Agency has released the production price index for the first quarter of this year, noting that the overall index of production prices in Kosovo declined by -1.0 per cent, compared to the last three months of 2017.
According to the AKS, larger declines according to the branches of economic activities are noted in electricity, gas, steam and air-contamination supply -4.9%; metal rush production -2.6%; production of beverages -1.4%; production of chemical products -0.3%; production of non-metal mineral products -0.2%; production of rubber and plastic-0.1%; and production of paper and products from it -0%.
“Rania was neutralised with the raising of prices to: metal production (6.9%); automotive (sport), trailers and semi-remotives (3.8%); its production and products (1.6%); the production of metals and equipment p.k.t.t (1.0%); furniture production (0.9%); storage, water treatment and supply (0.8%); production of food products (0%); production of metal products and equipment (0%; and wood production; and timber production; and other than furniture and furniture production; and electricity production; and waste; and other electric equipment (0%). Meanwhile, compare TM1 2018 with TM1 2017, production prices rose to an average of 0.2%. Larger upgrades are noted in: the production of electrical equipment (14.8%); the production of skin and products from it (4.8%); the production of wood and timber and cork products, in addition to furniture: additives and additive materials (4.7%); the production of metal (2.5%); the production of food products (1.9%); the production of motor vehicles (car transport), trailers and semi-remotives (1.2%); the production of machinery and p.c. (9%); water collection and water supply (0.8%).
The ASK in this report says that the upgrade was neutralised with the fall of prices: extracting metal rush -2.8%; electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply -1.4%; production of manufactured metal products, besides machinery and equipment -1.0%; chemical product production -0.9%; and furniture production -0.5%.
