KEKAI restopped the competition for Director Manager

The Kosovo Energy Corporation has re-declared the competition for management positions, Financial Executive Director and General/Secretary of the Corporation on 1 June.

The manager's position requires that the candidate have at least 5 years of high management experience. It also requires that there be university degrees in business management, economy, finance, engineering, or law management.

“preferred individuals with work experience in other high-size and complex enterprises”, said in the newly announced competition for Manager Management.

KEK has for the first time announced a competition for Director Management on April 5th.

Ministry of Economic Development ( MZE) through an opinion sent the Kosovo Energy Corporation's (BD) Steering Board (KEK) has demanded that the decision be reviewed for the April 4th and 5th competition for management, internal audit official, Financial Executive Director and KEK General/Secretar Council.

They have demanded that contracts be first broken to people in these positions and then announced the contest.

“BD all actions and decisions should be based on the legal regulations defined by legislation regulating the operation and the functioning of the NPs, with caution that the appointed ones pre-empt their rights and tasks from work and labour relations under the assessment and the country being free and then acting on the requirements for the appointment and selection of senior officials regulated in the Law for NP”, the opinion addressed to the KEK Board by the MZE.

The competition, announced on April 6th 2018 for positions, Director Management, Financial Executive Director and General/Secretary of the Corporation, has been cancelled at the KEK Board of Directors' decision on May 23rd 2018.

At the KEK Steering Board meeting held on 31 May, KEK Managing Director Arben Djukaj has resigned from his post.

Shortly after Djukaj's resignation, Njazi Thaci, Kosovo President Hashim Thaci's cousin, has been nominated. Director Manager at KEK.

The competition for announced positions in KEC is open until July 2nd, 2018.
