European Integration Minister Dona Hoxha continues to believe that Kosovo has met all conditions for visa liberalisation. Hoxha believes that during this month we will have a positive response from the assessment commission.
“Brenda June, developments have been envisioned that bring decision to the findings of the European Commission report and other assessment institutions within the Council and the European Parliament. It has been warned that June is the month when their opinion about meeting the conditions for visa liberalisation will become known. We have carried out all previous tasks with recommendations for visa liberalisation, as well as all of our communications, as well as our contacts with decision-making levels, we are optimistic that we will have good news” and Minister Hoxha has said.
The minister with the greatest confidence in visa liberalisation this year mentions the month December as months that citizens can move freely on the basis of the current practices of Brussels.
The “Reservation will be the deadline for the end according to Brussels' up-to-date practices regarding visa liberalisation, from the states that already have free movement. I don't expect any differences to be made, compared to earlier aspiring countries in this process. So, I see December as the bottom line for visa liberalisation”, said Gift Hoxha for Indexline.
To achieve that goal, Kosovo must have the support of most EU states. But, the most active person in this direction, Minister Hoxha says that if there are objections from any state, this will not stop the visa liberalisation process.
All EU countries are important to us, we have no luxury to bypass any state, but, the EU policy locomotive, it is not the property of those EU states that have not recognised our state's independence. Therefore, I consider that we should have the support of all countries, but, even any controversy of any country that has already claimed to be against the independence of the Republic of Kosovo, cannot stop visa liberalisation. For that, of course, we have the support of friendly countries, witnessed to the citizens of our Republic”.
