US and Germany's embassy say Kosovo must form army through changing the Constitution, thus rejecting Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj's warning of military formation only through changing laws
Despite Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj's warnings that the military can be done through legal changes, the international community is continuing to insist that this should happen through constitutional changes.
From the U.S. Embassy (SHBA) in Pristina have told “Zrin” that the US supports the transition of the Kosovo Security Force to Armed Forces through the Constitution's amendment.
The same have confirmed German Embassy officials in Kosovo who have said the army must comply with the Constitution and full co-ordination with NATO.
Despite that, the leaders of the Parliamentary Commission for KSF Supervising consider that international opposition is not classical in terms of plan “B” for army making.
According to them, if the army is not made through constitutional changes, then it can be done even through the “B” plan, through legal changes.
