According to Hoti this is due to the lack of effective governance, and the lack of reforms in the private sector.

Hoti has said that the trend of reducing the number of unemployed has stopped, and has called for this degradation to stop.

Full response:

IMF declares fiscal risks increasing

In the statement at the end of the IMF delegation's visit to Kosovo, concern over the increase in fiscal risks, with all economic performance.

I appreciate that worsening Kosovo's fiscal position will have consequences for the coming years, damaging the productive capital expenditures that should occur in the interest of citizens.

In the absence of effective governance, reforms to support the private sector are being delayed. As a result, high unemployment doesn't seem to continue in the race that was in the past government.

This institutional degradation should be interrupted. We need great civic support to break down this degradation that could have consequences for years in the lives of citizens.
