At the Foundation Court in Pec, court hearings have been launched in which Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has indicted Peja Mayor Gazmend Muharzier.
Only Haradinaj's lawyer, Arian Koci, is present at the trial room while Mujajer's lawyer, Besnik Berisha, is missing.
Judge Ganimetie Puka said Berisha has been notified for objective reasons cannot be present at the session.
Haradinaj has indicted Muhajer following charges he addressed years ago towards the current government's number one number, allegedly making money with gasoline and lucky games.
AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj had indicted the Chairman of the Peja municipality Gazmen Mujarır because of statements “insulting and slandering” in the Austrian newspaper Der Standard.
The indictment against Peja's chairman was filed after these statements, accusing Haradinaj that “is still making money by controlling the oil and lucky game business” in Pec, writes Kalxho.
In compensation for the material damage, the prime minister through the indictment requires 250 thousand euros in compensation from the head of Pec municipality. Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, and the head of the Peja municipality, Gazmend Muhharrier, are expected to face trial today.
Haradinaj and Muhhaxhier are expected to participate in a court hearing at the Pec Foundation Court for the indictment that the chief executive has slandered Peja's first.
The hearing was before starting at ten o'clock in the morning. Haradinaj does not attend the session because he will be represented by his lawyer, Arian Koci.
