There is no rift between Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and Minister Nikola Dimitrov over resolving the name issue. This is the government's reaction after the writings in the media prompted by Greek official persons, that talks have stalled due to differences in Macedonia's political leader for the final version of the agreement.

“Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov and the complete composition of the Government of Macedonia are in a single, strongly defined and dedicated line to exceeding conflicts, reinforcement of the dignity and identity of the citizens of Macedonia” declared Mile Bosnjakovski, spokesman for the ARM Government.

That reaction preceded several scriptures where the target of the attacks was Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov. He was accused of playing double games while mentioning his background from the Aegean and that in the past he was close to VMRO- DPMNE <x0nationalist”. While in Greek media concerning the name issue, the focus of the texts is on political differences there. The Greek defence minister estimates that now is the best option for solution.

What happens is a roasting of conditions for overcoming a problem that exists, roasting political will on both sides. The possibility of solutions that now exists will no longer be repeated so easily” said Fiotis Kuvelis, Deputy Defence Minister Greece.

The opposition New Democracy for the time being does not offer support, accusing of nontransparence by the Cirpras government.

We're left to wait in the dark. At least the last few days, we don't know anything like New Democracy. Even though we ask for official information, we are informed by Skopje. We learned that if there is a deal, Cypras would probably have a narrow majority in Parliament. But, I see there are severe reactions to the people” said Costas Cacidakis, deputy chairman of New Democracy.

The recent official statements from Skopje came from Deputy Prime Minister Bujar Osmani, who explained the impasse does not concern the principles of Greece and Macedonia, but due to differences in interpreting certain parts of the agreement. A Greek government spokesman a day ago expressed optimism that agreement would be reached.
