German Ambassador to Serbia Axel Dittman said his country supports the meeting of Serbia and Kosovo President Aleksandar Vuciq and Hashim Thaci in Brussels on Sunday.
He at the international conference “Mesaze from the Western Balkans”, organised by the European Movement in Serbia, said resolving relations with neighbours is one of the Union's requirements in Serbia.
For the European Union, relations with neighbours are very important. We don't want conflicts, and we don't want the normalisation of relations between Belgrade and Pristina. This dialogue is more important for people living in Kosovo, because the European Union supports both sides in dialogue”, Dittman said.
Responding to the question about the possibility that European diplomacy chief Federica Moghrini will be replaced by another negotiator, the German diplomat said that is not true.
The “is not true that Germany wants to replace the particular negotiator. Dialogue is organised by the European Union and the Federica Moghrini. She is an important person who is a representative of the European Union,”, he said.
