Supreme Court of Kosovo head Enver Peci in an interview with the newspaper “Voice” has estimated that during the ten-year term in Kosovo, EULEX has failed in fighting organised crime and corruption. He has acknowledged that Jabir Zarko's case is a bad message for local justice.
Supreme Court Chairman Enver Peci expresses disappointment with the ten-year work of the EULEX mission in Kosovo, as it was a very expensive mission that has had to end more cases of organised crime and corruption. Peci made these comments during an interview with the newspaper “Voice”, adding that the EU's Mission to End Law has had little success in completing such cases.
What prevented me from doing this mission, which I told them, was the mandate of judges and prosecutors. The latter have probably lasted a year, have completed the mandate, and the case that has been launched has remained in half. As a result of the mandate, procedures have been prolonged because the law envisions how to change the court case starts from the beginning.
I have seen this as a lack of this mission and those who have thought they will help in Kosovo”, has been linked to other PecI.
