Products like orange juice, jeans and motorcycles are on the front line, and this is a response to Donald Trump's tariffs on European iron and aluminum.
The measures, however, must be approved earlier by the European Commission, but are expected to take effect early next month. The EU views Trump's movement as illegal with US tariffs affecting more than six billion euros in exports.
The tariffs are determined by 25 percent for iron and 10 percent for aluminum and have entered into force earlier this month. European Commission has launched a legal challenge against tariffs in world trade organisation
