The skeleton, which was 150 million years old, which had been stored almost overall, was displayed on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower in Paris on the side of the Agutette auction house, found sales of $2.36 million, CNN reports.
The skeleton was unearthed in excavations conducted between 2013-2015 in Woming, U.S.A., while it is six feet [2.6 m] tall and nearly 9m tall.
About 70 percent of its skeleton was intact.
Scientists had classified it among carnitive living things.
The Kurdish Paleontology Community last month called on Agatta's auction house to cancel the sale of dinosaurs whose type has not yet been assigned.
Agbittes announced that some of the proceeds from the sale would be donated to two foundations for the preservation of the animal world.
