Today is the World Day of War against Destruction and Thattthage, which is held annually to raise community awareness of international efforts in the fight against desertification.
This day should remind us all that the neutralisation of land degradation is achieved through solving problems, strong involvement of communities and co-operation at all levels.
The World Day against Thattland and Development is celebrated worldwide on June 17th with a focus on 2018, on sustainable land management as a way of regenerating economies, creating jobs and restoring communities.
With the slogan '%Toka's true value, 'you invest in it', on this world day, producers, consumers and policymakers are invited to make the difference by investing in earth's future.
World Day Against Destruction and Thattland was founded by the United Nations General Assembly 23 years ago to raise awareness of the global and national shares required to address desertification, degradation and drought.
CNVP is the leader organisation of civil society active in the six Balkan states and uses detailed analysis based on evidence to improve the sustainable life of rural communities that are influenced by the ongoing process of environmental destruction, climate change, desertification and drought.
