The Constitutional Court has ordered that the court case, dubbed “Drenica 2”, be returned to review.
With the ruling published today, the Court has declared the Supreme Court's ruling invalid, which had rejected complaints of defenders of the accused in this group and turned the case into a review of the same court.
In September last year, the Supreme Court of Kosovo had rejected all requirements for protection of legitimacy presented in the case known as “Drenica2”.
Through a media report, the Supreme Court revealed that after the hearing held on July 19, 2017, it has decided to reject 11 requests for protection of legitimacy.
Kosovo's “Supreme Court of Kosovo, ruling in terms of 11 requirements for protection of legitimacy, all exercised against the conviction of the Constitutional Court of Mitrovica on May 27th 2015, and the act of Court of Appeals of September 14, 2016, has rejected all requirements for protection of legitimacy as ground-instance”, said the communique issued by the Supreme Court's Intelligence Office.
