Works at “Small Capaits” end as planned, last until the end of summer

Holes, channels, dust, labor machines, and traffic jams for cars and pedestrians. This is the only situation from one street to the capital. The work being done on the “Fehmi Agani” for more than three months, should be completed within 60 days. Residents and businesses on this road are constantly complaining, and the Pristina municipality says the work ends at the end of summer.
On this road, it's Dentan Blackbeard's day. He works a taxi driver and explains about his losses, where, according to him, the duration of his work has been done because twice the same job is done.
This road is a very big obstacle, the number one reason that sometimes the same work is done because these aren't working on projects at all. One item is worked back again, up to five, six times the same thing to do. Within a day, a sewer, or tube, that is possible to be fixed, they destroy that they don't have a project, they just work that way, and a tube has to be pulled again. It's destroyed this neighbourhood in general, and it's damaged us taxi drivers, and it's damaged all of these businesses by about 70 percent, he said.
While Leonard Krasniqi, who lives on this road, says that even the windows cannot be opened by the dust being caused by the works.
“Works hinder us because there's too much noise, too much dust and there's family living here. It's basically a very circular neighborhood, and I'm thinking they made a mistake because before it had to be done, but not now... It's summer, dust is more present than, for example, we can't open the dust windows”, he said.
From London to Pristina on vacation has come Petrit Kabashi, but not everything is going well on these holidays. He says that he suffers from dust allergies and the work being done near his home is making his health worse.
I find my work very slow, bad to say right, and the work isn't doing it right, but this road has impressed me that they started around April and that I know how much I understand they've had in 60 days to finish. But it's been over 70 days, and they're nowhere near, and these locals around here have made big obstacles especially to those who serve food, with international standards they have no right to serve in these dusty conditions... I, for one, suffer from dust allergies, environmental pollution and how I certainly do worse, and no one takes this into account”, he says.
Although the works are being hampered, citizen Rina Gashi says she has enough work to do.
It's just that we don't know what's going on. So it's a little problematic, but I'm thinking it's doing better, just let them work or there's no dert”, she said.
On the “road, Fehmi Agani” is also a large number of businesses operating. Florim Imer, who owns a store on this street, explains the losses he has.
“On this road since March 27th, we have been in a lot of trouble with the renovation of sewage. Too much dust, too much work, a disaster, this company that's got the contract to renew this job is working very slowly, so I had asked the municipality to give more of this job than it really is damaging... These businesses are just before the collapse, three months we've been working on just minus”, he says.
Days ago, the owners of the locals on this road, known as “Vogla Caphet”, have protested as a sign of dissatisfaction with the works being done on this road.
They have even sought compensation from the Pristina municipality for the losses they have suffered.
They have refused to speak to the camera, saying they have become monotonous, demanding that this route be completed as soon as possible.
The criticism over the length of the works on this road also includes the LDK assemblywoman in Pristina's Municipal Assembly, Fitnet Beata.
It for Kosovo Preress says the delay in completing the works has also occurred because of the lack of supervision of development of jobs on the part of the Investment Directorate. He says economic operators should be penalised for delays.
The dynamic plan in realisation of the project, according to economic operators, is only set aside for working days, but it turns out that the dynamic plan has been exceeded. It is not the only problem of this project, since all projects that have started the Pristina Community in the first mandate, and in this six-month second term, have not been implemented according to the dynamic” plan, it has indicated.
Despite numerous complaints by residents of this part, Gzim Mehmeti, director of Capital Investments in the Pristina municipality, says the entire project is on time,
The bad news is, he says the work will not be finished until the end of this summer.
Now we're in the final phase of the work, today's 54th day of work. It means the contract has 60 days of work, today we are on 54th, but it has expressed a confusion in the opinion because it is said to have lasted longer. No, it hasn't taken longer because there's been parties, weekends don't just count working days. It means we're on a dynamic plan, we're in the framework of the plan, and by the end of this week we're going to complete the asphalt”, he said.
As for what local owners on the road have demanded compensation, Mehmeti says all investment has been made at the request of businesses and residents of this section.
Moreover, he says that they have solved a problem of these residents and that they will never again have a sewer problem.
Numerous criticisms in the direction of the Pristina municipality have also taken place in terms of the time when the work has been chosen to be done. But even for this answer is the director of Capital Investments, Guzim Mehmeti.
“We cannot start between December and March, it is impossible because of climate conditions, and we in collaboration with locals and residents have chosen March to end sometime in June. For reasons that July and August will be available to them, the arrival of the diaspora. It means they'll be able to use the” summer season, he says.
Otherwise, works on regulating fecal and atmospheric channeling, as well as overhauling the water supply system on the “Fehmi Agani”, Pristina municipality will cost 360 thousand euros.
