The boy held hostage by his sick mental father

The father who had mental problems threatened and locked the 17-year-old boy in the house. The event occurred yesterday in the neighbourhood “30-year-old” in Berat and, fortunately, was neutralised in a short time by police, as the latter was signaled by concerned neighbours.

J.D., for several hours at his house psychologically violated his 17-year-old son, A.D. and locked him in the apartment by not letting him out. The 43-year-old held his son hostage under threat.

He had custody of the boy after the divorce years ago by his wife, who left his apartment. The husband is taught that yesterday, in the gravity of the situation because he had mental health problems, he kept the boy isolated inside, and police have been notified.

After being denounced by concerned neighbors, blue uniforms and fire departments have gone to the apartment where the man lived and have fortunately managed to get the boy out, without consequences for his health.

Then, some negotiating moments were needed, as the 43-year-old refused to surrender himself.

“A.D also strongly opposed police employees to avoid association, hitting them with axes and hardy items, therefore easily damaged two effective police” - police reports.

The sources from Berat's police suggested that they have managed to neutralise the author they were able to escort with ambulance to the hospital because of the deterioration of his mental state.

Blues did not confirm whether the 43-year-old will be arrested or hospitalised because of this situation.

Meanwhile, the teenager has been questioned by where he has reconfirmed that his father's mental health was recently deteriorating and that yesterday after a dispute between them, he had held him hostage, not allowing him to go out and even threatened him.
