Today marks the eightth anniversary of the death of one of the largest Albanian actors to have famed worldwide, Bekim Fehmiu.
His tracks in foreign and Albanian cinematography are not small. Fehmiu became famous with his film “The Puplates”, in 1966. By that time, he had studied and had become known by many film houses around the world.
He is the first Albanian film and theatre actor to have played successfully in films and scenes of the entire former Yugoslavia space. Among the best-known roles of Bekim Fehmiu are “Special Test”, “Odissea”, “Aventurer”, “Mud”, “HotDeser”, “Dezertor”, which are mentioned as masterpieces.
Fehmiu has collaborated with known names of world cinematography such as John Huston, Olivia de Havilland, Ava Gardner, Robert Shaw, Dirk Bogart, Irene Papas, and others.
In his roles, Fehmiu has performed several languages. None of the institutions on this anniversary remember his image.
