Police are investigating the tragedy after the sick child was taken to the Sunshine Hospital in the west of Melbourne last week.
According to reports, a third nurse ignored the baby before the mother was ordered to wait in a pediatric reception room with her child, the Shneta newspaper broadcasts.

Western Health Chief Paul Eleftheriou said the baby was ignored by a third nurse after being brought to the emergency department.
