Austrian authorities are talking to Western Balkan countries about establishing centres where illegal immigrants will be expelled, writes the newspaper “Day Presse”.
The Vienna newspaper states that talks are already under way with Serbia, Albania, Macedonia and Kosovo for the establishment of <x0 need-to-do camps for the expulsion of persons who in Austria receive negative answers in the demand for asylum receiving and who there have gone through the Balkan round”.
These people must be temporarily sent to any less attractive location for immigrants.
For this service, says “Die presse”, these Balkan countries have demanded cash, while Vienna is currently considering legal opportunities.
It is not clear at present how large camps are planned to be in the Balkans. Denmark and the Netherlands support Austria in this plan.
