Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen requested clarification on the part of German authorities, while Chancellor Sebastian Kurz asked Berlin for good co-operation in whitewashing press information that is applying German secret foreign services (BND).
The daily “Standard” confirmed in its number that it had a list of people spying on by the BND in 1999 and 2006, including about 2,000 fixed and mobile phone numbers,fax and electronic addresses of ministries, international organisations, embassies, companies located in Austria.
