The association and change of borders are on the negotiating table with Serbia

Vjosa Osmani from the LDK once again spoke of objections this party has with Hashim Thaci as chief negotiator in talks with Serbia.

The one at KTV, said that reflecting recent developments in the phase Kosovo and Serbia have entered, has the urge for Association to be part of this final phase.

“Whatever seems good, this will be the effort that violates Kosovo's constitution, this even the Constitutional Court has ascertained”, she said.

Osmani said the Constitutional Court has prevented a dangerous scenario for Kosovo. Now, as she says, after Thaci's many meetings with Vuciqi, which Osmani calls formal, said that Thaci “as são has announced the public on topics”, therefore the EU has also changed its stance, she said, citing the latest statements of Federica Moghrini.

She has said they have received answers from the EU, and has publicly demanded that EU officials give answers.

There is no way that association can be formed under the 2015 agreement without changing the Constitution. This shows that the association will certainly be discussed in Brussels, especially after Thaci said that the line is red”, she said.

Osman mentioned that from visiting various capitals, they were told that the topic of changing borders would also be put on the table.

“The one who has been there should show what his position has been on this subject”, she said, adding that this is the situation that is jeopardising Kosovo's citizenship. The “never until today has a representative been able to lower the Kosovo standard so far”, he said.

We heard the president say there will be no red lines here. We know those red lines that were put on were made for the good of Kosovo. And now, this approach by Thaci can't bring good results. What Thaci said, is that you are ready to negotiate for Kosovo's status as state”, Osmani said.

Today President Hashim Thaci briefed the government cabinet on the latest phase of dialogue on normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia.

He also invited the opposition to join the Kosovo delegation in Brussels.

Osmani, for that, said the LDK has given her answer. We have said that we accept Thaci as chief negotiator. The LDK has reacted yesterday to the conference that Thaci held”, she said.

As it is seen, she said, the president has no intention of respecting the decisions of the Parliament. “It is violating any resolution”, she said.

The Assembly, she said, has only one chance to bring down the president. When it violates the constitution. If the court says there have been violations of the Constitution, then the president may fall. So only this way. Thaci's may collapse without having any documents proving he is violating the constitution”, he said further.

This is now about preventing a man, but preventing scenarios that endanger Kosovo”, Osmani said.

Osmani said the issue of the chief negotiator is very important.
