Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Izmi Zeka has stressed that Kosovo's membership in Interpol remains one of the government's top priorities.

He has said that through the lobby Kosovo is already part of the election agenda at the upcoming Interpol Assembly session to be held at the end of this year.

In this interview given to the newspaper “The new age of”, Zeka, has suggested that there is wide mobilization, in particular, of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Internal Affairs, of co-ordinating the process and drafting of lobbiing strategies for Kosovo's membership in Interpol.

In this interview Zeka has also talked about the security situation in the country, which she says is calm.

He has confirmed that Kosovo has achieved progress in fighting threats stemming from terrorism.

Zeka is convinced that the government she shares in has shown positive results in governance by unblocking some vital and important processes for Kosovo citizens.

He has stressed that this government has created a spirit of co-operation with opposition and wider society actors on major and important topics for Kosovo's future.

Deputy Prime Minister Zeka has said Kosovo remains committed to good neighbourly relations in the region.
