Experts have said that the photograph cannot prove anything about origin or age, after the wolf's whereabouts are unknown.
Black writes that the wolf does not pose a danger to people, because by nature it is shy and avoids contact with people. The newspaper further doubts that because of the ability to cope with long distances, the wolf may have left Zurich.
But people who see the wolf should keep their distance, and dogs should be kept in touch.
