Volin says Kosovo does not need military

Serbian Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin is seeing the formation of the Kosovo Army as unnecessary, since, according to him, NATO troops in Kosovo can best accomplish their work. Speaking for “Tv Pink”, Vulin added that the main responsibilities for the security situation in Kosovo are KFOR troops, [...]
“are KFOR troops who are well trained by the most powerful armies, they are responsible for security in Kosovo and we all agree that the security situation in Kosovo, especially for Serbs, is not good, and now if KFOR leaves, if the trained army leaves, some KLA veterans will come and guarantee security. Who will guarantee security and what are they protecting Kosovo from? According to him, the individual decisions of NATO members to stay or not in Kosovo are a serious violation of Resolution 1244, on which he says KFOR came to Kosovo.
“You may violate the International Law, as you violated it when you recognised Kosovo's independence and in the case of the bombings against the former Yugoslavia, you could put it down again, but these things would return to those who started it”, ended the seal. On the other hand, Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has said today that the transformation of the KSF will take place, with or without constitutional changes. Haradinaj has said the decision on transforming the KSF is a political process.
“Taking the vote is a political process and I am deeply convinced that if not through constitutional basis, then through the advance of the legal base the KSF's transformation into the Kosovo Army” will occur, Haradinaj has declared. The prime minister has said that “cannot be expected indefinitely” to make this process happen. “Transference of KSF into the military does not mean taking over KFOR duties. KFOR is peaceful force, is a mandate NATO, we respect”, he said. During the day, Haradinaj has waited at a meeting of accredited ambassadors in Kosovo with whom he has discussed the issue.
