Full response:
On European Day, Serbia shows true anti-European face
Today, I have also officially been notified by a letter of no diplomatic and official language, on Serbia's Parliament's decision to withdraw the invitation to participate in the Conference organised by the chairman of the European Assembly Commission of Serbia, Mr. Nenad Canak.
The state of Serbia, through this decision, showed how influenced it is by chauvinists and war criminals like Vojislav Seselj. It was exactly the provocations of the latter, which brought destabilisation of reports even with the state of Croatia in recent weeks.
Although it has opened most of the chapters for EU membership, Serbia shows that it remains a state of anti-European values and that all its achievements towards the integration path have been acquired through Kosovo's themes, not because of merits and meeting standards. Serbia's actions do not contribute to peace or normalisation of reports, much less to the European path of the Western Balkans.
However, in all this situation, it is to be commended the good will of Commission Chairman Mr. Canak. To be worthy of celebrating May 9th, Europe Day, politicians in Serbia must follow his example.
