A 42-year-old Italian became the tenth victim of the storm that has hit the Swiss alps over the weekend.
The woman was part of the group of 14 skiers who were caught by bad weather. When they were faced with severe atmospheric conditions, they were forced to stop until they reached their destination.
The victims who have suffered have so far lost their lives in separate accidents, since there were two groups of skiers.
The last time so many people died in such a short time was in 1999 when 12 people died after an avalanche in the Valias Canton.
