The prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, during a two-day visit to the Vatican, has been received in the audience closed by the Holy Father, Pope Francis. Haradinaj has conveyed to the Holy Father, a gift from the people of Kosovo, a letter of request, for acceptance, recognition and care of Kosovo.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Haradinaj announced the Holy Father for political developments in Kosovo, the European and Euro-Atlantic route, stressing the fact that Kosovo is an example of co-existence among peoples and religious tolerance.
Kosovo is an example of religious tolerance and promotion of peace. Our Euro-Atlantic path is empowered with strategic partnership with the Vatican. His holiness, Pope Francis, I expressed the devotion of our citizens, so that spiritual and democratic values can be preserved and cultivated, in spirit and for the common good”, Prime Minister Haradinaj said.
Prime Minister Haradinaj praised the expectation received by Pope France, saying that Kosovo and its people will forever be grateful Vatican for the support given over the past decades, and also expressed Kosovo's commitment to a strategic partnership with the Vatican.
My “Visit to the Vatican and meeting with Pope Francisescu is a great honor to me and the people of Kosovo. I used this honor to convey the best greetings and desires of the people of Kosovo for the Holy Father, Pope Francis, for the Holy See, the Vatican and the desire to establish permanent and strategic relations with Vatican”, Prime Minister Haradinaj said.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Haradinaj has conveyed to the Holy Father -- a gift from the people of Kosovo, a letter of request -- for acceptance, recognition and care of Kosovo.
“I was impressed that the Holy Father, Pope Francis, was truly human, with extraordinary warmth, said that “I have in my heart the people of Kosovo””, Prime Minister Haradinaj stressed.
Highly praising the expectation that he is in the Vatican, Prime Minister Haradinaj stressed that treatment and waiting with such respect is evidence of deepening reports between the two countries.
He gave the blessing, for Kosovo, a blessing that was touching not only to me, but to all of us, a special feeling. I felt honored and really felt respected today”, Prime Minister Haradinaj stressed.
Prime Minister Haradinaj expressed happiness and gratitude that Kosovo has built friendly relations with the Holy See.
We are of great importance to this relationship. The Vatican, as well as the Holy See, is a full member of international organisations, like Interpol and other organisations. I am deeply convinced that on our journey like Kosovo, it will feel us. I am convinced that the Holy See will feel Kosovo”, Prime Minister Haradinaj.
The meeting with Pope Francescu took place at the residence of the Holy Father, the Vatican in closed audiences, within the framework of Prime Minister Haradinaj's official visit to the Vatican, aimed at establishing strategic co-operation and recognising Kosovo's citizenship by the Holy See.
