If someone sees the current video exchange from Wednesday's table instead of selectively cut segments it becomes clear that Trump was referring to the notorious MS-13 group, or Mara Salvatrucha, gang members instead of Latin America or illegal immigrants in general, reports “RT” Transmission Periscope.
This is not the first time Trump refers to members of Mara Salvatrucha as “animals”. He also used that term in June 2017 in a speech about illegal immigrants in Long Island, New York.
MS-13 originated in California during the 1980s, when many El Salvador citizens are forced to come to the U.S. as a result of civil war, where Reagan administration supported the government's rightist arm. The gang was known for the violence that had spread it to the U.S. and Canada and had close Mexican drug cartel allies./Periscopi/
