The Food and Veterinary Agency has announced all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo that tomorrow the management and control project of wandering dogs will begin.
According to the agency, this project is financed by the Government of Kosovo and will last until the end of 2018.
“In the project are all municipalities involved in the entire territory of the Republic of Kosovo. In each municipality are private veterinary practices contracted for performing services. The project envisions: dog fighting, treatment (needs medical treatments and treatments), castrination, sterilization, and in particular euthanasia cases (for euthanasia sets the veterinarian by respecting legal acts in power). All the dogs that are treated will be marked with identifying numbers that will be easily identifiable. All citizens who possess dogs, which they consider to be their host animals or their domestic or farm needs, beg for long, as long as the project lasts to keep track of them, in the contrary, where they will encounter them on the street or other open spaces, will be treated as wandering dog”, said the agency's communique.
